Angry Birds Mania

Hello out there!  I really am still here, I promise!  This has been such a crazy fall.  Just waiting for baby to come in January!

Meanwhile, my son is almost 7 (I'm not really sure where those 7 years went.)  He REALLY wanted an angry birds birthday party this year.  We did the family party and found him an Angry Birds cake and everything.  So for table decor I made these boxes to put some goodies in.  They're a spin on the flower baskets I found a while back, minus the handles.  I can't remember where I found the tutorial though, but if I can find it I will come back and update.  Basically you take a 12x12 piece of cardstock and score on all four sides at 3.5", cut on each side of two of the rectangles, fold up and glue.

The birds I cut using punches - circles and small rectangle.

Thanks for stopping by!  I really appreciate it.

Competing Princesses - March Kit

Hello and I hope you are all having a nice weekend!  This is my card I put together for this month's round of competing Paper Princesses.  Our blog group is having a 3-month "competition" where we take turns hostessing a round and send each member of our group the same card supplies to make a card and see what we each come up with.  It's really fun to see what we can all make using the same supplies and they are all so unique and different.  This round was my turn to hostess, and I put together a spring kit.  Melanie was the other hostess for this round, and we decided to use a sketch as the common theme.

Spring!

Sorry to go MIA here - it's been a long, tiring week.  And it's only Wednesday!  Baby girl had tubes put in her ears today, and thankfully it went really well and seemed fairly painless.

I did get to finish this page I had been working on for the Stamp with Fun challenge - SPRING!  (TSB is sponsoring this week's challenge.)  We did have a couple of really nice spring days too this week, and that was wonderful.  Unfortunately we have a high of 32 tomorrow, so I'll have to remember the warm while we're freezing again:)

I used this pretty spring image from The Stamping Boutique for this layout - using digis is something pretty new to me with my scrapbooking, but I think it's definitely a nice addition!

Critter Monday - Shades of Green

Good morning!  It's Monday (again) and you know what that means - it's a Critter kind of day!  Ok, sorry, that was a little silly:)  I'm a little tired.

The theme this week is monochromatic - green to be exact.  Ok, you can use some white too...I have to say, I love all things Irish.  My great-great grandparents on my dad's side came over from Ireland, and my grandpa had a love for all things Irish too.  A couple of years before he passed away he did get to visit there, and I loved hearing his stories from over there when he would share them with us.  Someday I would love to visit there.

Our sponsor this month is Softpencil.  There are so many adorable images in her store!
