Welcome Winter

Well, it's official. Winter is here. I can't really complain since we had such a beautiful fall, but we had our first snow on Wednesday. And boy is it cold out! My little girl goes, "NOOO!!!" (she's trying to say snow.) I have to laugh:)

I know this is yet ANOTHER card in blues, but I'm really digging these colors right now. So you'll have to suffer with me;)

I used the sketch from CardPatterns this week.

Supplies are SU cardstock in Ballet Blue, DCWV paper from the Winter stack. Image is Greeting Farm colored in with Copics and accented with Crystal Stickles. Pearls are Kaiser. Ribbon is from my stash and I used a snowflake embossing folder and went over the embossed part with a Spica clear glitter pen.

Happy Birthday to My Son!

I can't believe my firstborn is almost 6 already! I really don't know how time has flown by so fast. Actually, his birthday is not until the end of December, but I wanted to put his card together early so I don't run out of time and have to do it last minute like I do everything! He saw this card kit sitting on my craft table the other day and really liked it, so I thought it would be perfect for him.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday this week for the card.

I received these supplies in a card kit, but I added Crystal Effects to the rocket ship and the helmet of the images (colored in with Copics) and used Crystal Stickles on the stars. I also added the ribbon.

In the Mood For Snow...men!

Good evening! So to say the least, I am not a winter person as I've said, but I can appreciate a good snow or two. I love how clean and new everything looks covered in a world of white (especially if I don't have to drive in it!) But I do also love everything snowmen. I blame it on my mother (she has the same problem;)).

I fell in love with the little guy from TiddlyInks and this will be going to another snowman lover in my family for her birthday!

I'm entering this card in a few challenges:

Critter Monday - Texture it!

Good morning! I am starting to get in a winter/Christmas mood now. As soon as I can dig them out, I plan on playing my Christmas cd's. My hubby said he's ok with that as long as the decorations don't come out too, lol! That's ok, I'm wearing him down. When we first got married, he would just roll his eyes and say no way!

It's Critter Monday! This week's challenge is to TEXTURE IT! Use fun flock, Liquid applique, Stickles, Liquid pearls, and Embossing powders, whatever to create texture. Our sponsor this month is Stamp and Create, and they have a lot of neat stamps and products. These cute little mice are from their store - this stamp is Frosty the Snowmouse by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps.

I am entering this card in several challenges this week:
Papertake - the sketch
Cute Card Thursday - anything goes
Delightful Challenges - glitter it up

Hey There, Grumpy

Good evening! I am so excited to share this little card with you! I don't know why, but it's one of those things that you get so excited about because everything came together just like it should. This was one of those cards. This will be for my dad's birthday at the end of the month. I know it's not the typical birthday card (and he's not a grumpy guy generally), but this is what he looks like in winter;) He's a summer person like me, so I thought he would appreciate this.

I am entering this card in a few challenges:
Papertake Weekly - guy card
Sketch Saturday - the sketch
Crazy 4 Challenges - make a square card (this is a square easel card)
Paper Sundaes - Let it Snow
Corrosive Challenges - Black and Blue color combo

Coffee Journal

Good afternoon! I thought I'd take a break from my cleaning (not much fun there) to share this project with you (much more fun). This is one of the new stamps from The Greeting Farm, and I thought he was pretty cute and perfect for a guy project. I have a hard time with things for men, but I put this altered notebook together for my hubby and I'm pretty happy with it!

I used the sketch from Card Patterns this week for the front of the notebook.

Supplies are composition notebook, image by Greeting Farm colored in with Copics. Paper is DCWV, cardstock is SU Bliss Blue and Creamy Caramel. Buttons are American Crafts, I think. Sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps with Memento Brown ink. Ribbon is from my stash.

It's Rather Blue

Good afternoon! It's a bit soggy here today. That's ok, though since my house is in desparate need of cleaning! I guess I'd better get moving on that;)

I was looking through my card kits I had colored images in, and I found this little mouse (too cute, right?) I love the papers too, and I seem to be needing too many get well cards already this fall. I thought he would work well.

I used the sketch from Papertake this week.

Supplies are from a card kit, but I added SU Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel cardstock, a Cuttlebug Paisley embossing folder, clear ice Stickles, and Pearls from Kaiser. Image is colored in with Prismacolor pencils.

I told you I've been working on boy birthday cards:) Here is another one. This was for my cousin's 18th birthday the other day. I used the rest of the supplies from a card kit (thanks, April!) I had in my stash. I used SCS sketch 16 for the layout.

Besides the card kit supplies, I added SU cardstock in Real Red and Going Grey and DCWV white core black paper. I also used some black stickles for details on the swirlies around the guitar, and colored some detail in on the guitar with a Copic marker.

Birthday Candles

Hello! Here's another card I put together this week. I'm short on boy birthday cards, so I needed to add to my stash:)

I had fun putting this card together. The supplies are from a card kit, and I thought it was really cute! All I added to this was the cardstock (SU Old Olive and Certainly Celery) and the Cuttlebug embossing folder.

I used the sketch from Card Patterns this week. It's a neat one!

Fall Fun

Good morning! The sun is shining and it's going to be warm again - yay! I'm not sure exactly what we're going to do today, but that's ok. I have to recover from the weekend - my sink shows it too:)

I did get some crafty time in this weekend, and here is a card I made.

I used the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Supplies are image from Whimsy Stamps colored in with Copic markers and highlighted with clear Stickles. Cardstock is SU Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Close to Cocoa, DP is DCWV from an old Fall Stack. Circles were cut with Nesties. Pearls are Kaiser from the Paper Jewels store. Here's my take on the sketch:

Not sure where the DP and image are from, but the image is colored in with Copics and highlighted with clear Stickles. Sentiment is PTI stamped with Memento brown ink. Altered Paper Clips

Hello! I thought I'd sneak a few minutes to share these altered paper clips I made. I found these plastic paper clips at Walmart and thought they would be perfect to add on to - and turns out they are easy! I just used my circle punches and used those for my base, and then hot-glued them onto the clips. With the holidays quickly approaching, these would be a quick teacher gift or for anyone else on your list:)

Supplies are SU paper in Chocolate Chip, Rose Red and Creamy Caramel. Stamps are from the dollar bin, colored in with Copics and accented with clear Stickles and SU Crystal Effects. Paper clips are from the office supply at Walmart.

Another Gift Card Idea

Good morning! Well, it seems fall is here. Don't get me wrong - I love fall. It just doesn't last long enough and I am NOT a winter kind of girl. But I will enjoy the cool crisp air today while it lasts before I have to bundle up!

I didn't get much crafty time in this week, but I wanted to share this gift card holder idea I put together a couple of weeks ago. I saw somewhere someone made a gift card holder using a Big Shot die, but I don't have one of those so I use a Nestibilities Tag 11(?) die instead. It wasn't quite big enough to cover the gift card, but it fit snugly in there and I think it works!

Supplies are SU cardstock and DP, Kaiser Pearls from Paper Jewels, misc satin ribbon and clear stamps (not sure where from).

Competing Princesses - Round 2

Hello! I'm here today to share my creation with you for our Paper Princess blog group - it's time for round 2 of our challenge, and this is what I came up with! I had the privilege of hosting this round for my team by providing the materials to put the cards together.

I'm a little under the weather today, so I'm going to keep this short and sweet:)

I used SCS sketch 91 for the layout.

Coffee, Anyone?

Good evening! I hope everyone is settling back into their school routines. We've been trying, and then my son came down with strep throat. However, he's back to school tomorrow! This is a little bit how I look in the mornings...she's just a lot cuter!

This is my first time making a tag card. There were probably instructions somewhere, but I kind of just winged it. I used the Coffee Kiki La Rue from the Paper Jewels store. I thought the tag could be removed to be a bookmark too.

I used SCS sketch sc06 for this card.

I colored the CC Designs image in with Copics and highlighted with an opaque white pen. The tag was made with a nestabilities die. I used materials I received in a card kit for most of the card, and added SU cardstock in Pixie Pink. I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder in swiss dots.

Birthday Gift Card

Hello! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! We didn't get to go to church this morning, and had to cancel our plans for this afternoon due to a sick child and working husband. Such is life. So making the best of things, we've had a very quiet morning, and I put together this gift card holder for my brother-in-law, whose birthday is today! I borrowed the idea from a gift card holder I received in a swap a while back, but I don't know who it came from, but I really liked it!

I used the sketch from Papertake this week.

I took a 9 1/4 x 4" piece of patterened cardstock and scored it at 3 1/4" and 6 1/2". I cut the piece out at the botton and applied a little bit of adhesive along the left side to keep it together.

Supplies are cardstock by DCWV (Glitter stack), SU Going Grey and DCWV black
Image is a clear stamp, not sure who by, colored in with Copics
Sentiment is PTI inked with Encore metallic silver
Dots are from Stamping Bella
Silver cording is SU
Ink is SU Green Galore and Memento Tuxedo Black
Argyle on the grey is from a Cuttlebug embossing folder

Happy Labor Day

Hope you had a great Labor Day! It was a pretty mild weekend here, a couple of picnics and some hangout time with the family. The kids got to bed early tonight - my son starts school tomorrow.

I put this card together using the sketch from Sketch Saturday.

Cardstock is SU Pale Plum, Perfect Plum and Bliss Blue. DP is DCWV. Image is Tiddly Inks colored in with Copic Markers and the wings are highlighted with crystal Stickles. Sentiment is PTI. Felt flowers were cut with a PTI flower die with PTI felt. Circles were cut with Nestibilites. Pearls are Kaiser from the Paper Jewels store.

Saturday!

Happy Saturday! We're getting ready to head down to Amish country for dinner and some shopping with the fam. The only bummer thing is, though, that it's so much cooler here today - high of 65 and 2 days ago it was 90! Breaking out the jeans and long pants for sure!

I am finding my stash low on boy birthday cards, so I used the ingredients from a card kit by April I received in a swap. It's out of my usual style, but I love all the glitter and it really does "rock"!

I followed the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches this week.

Most of the supplies were from a kit, but I added SU Going Grey cardstock. Image is colored with burgundy Stickles and a red Copic marker.

Pretty in Purple

Ah, I've been waiting all week to get a chance to do some crafting, so tonight after there was no more pitter patter of adorable feet, I made it down to the craft table:) Sorry for the super shiny ribbon - I usually take my pictures outside, but since it's late, I had to take them indoors with a flash.

I love this image from the Stamping boutique - she's perfect for a birthday card! I followed several challenges for this one too:
Aud Sentiments - best wishes
Papertake - Just the One (one of something - I did monochromatic)
CardPatterns - the sketch
Cupcake Craft - use a digital image
Cute Card Thursday - Material (the ribbon)
Really Reasonable Ribbon - flowers and ribbon

Baby Basket

Hi! I was waiting to share this basket with you until I gave to it to intended couple..just in case:) Now I can share it! I LOVE this basket - it is so cute and easy to make. I believe I made one before too for a birthday, but this one is larger - I used a 12x12 sheet of cardstock. I saw the original one on AnnMarie's blog - she has the instructions on there too.

I didn't show you the picture of the fourth side - I stamped "celebrate" and wrote below instead of making a separate card. I also filled it with chocolates.

Images are from Raisin Boat, accented with Stickles and colored in with Prismacolor pencils. Cardstock is SU Sage Shadow, and I can't remember which blue for sure, but I think it was Brocade Blue. Sentiments are PTI.

Cupcakes again!

Good evening! Is it really Wednesday again? I can't believe that August is almost over and the kid(s) are almost back in school! We don't start until September 7, so there's a little bit of time left. I love my sweet boy dearly, but I am ready for him to start back!

I did find some crafty time today, so I wanted to share this card with you that I put together using one of my own card kits I made for a swap on SCS. I decided it needed to be an easel card, and I LOVE this color combo:)

Supplies are CC Designs stamp from Paper Jewels - Cupcake Kiki colored in with Copic markers and highlighted with clear Stickles. DP is Doodlebug. Cardstock is SU Certainly Celery and Rose Red. Brown is DCWV punched with a scalloped punch. Border punch is SU. Buttons are PTI, flower and ribbon are misc from my stash (i.e. not sure where they are from and I am too lazy to go check at the moment:)).

Sizzling Summer

Hello again! The wonderful group of bloggy crafty girls I belong to are having a monthly challenge, and this is our first round. The theme is Sizzling Summer. Basically, the hostess for the month sends the girls on her team a card kit with the elements to put together a card, and everyone will make a card and share it with the group. April put this neat kit together (isn't the glittery paper the best?) I hope I did the image justice - it's a little out of my comfort zone, but really neat. Jenny has these Sweet Pea stamps for sale in the Paper Jewels store (sorry, had to plug - she has a great store!)

I used this week's sketch from Card Patterns for this card.

I colored her in with Prismacolor pencils and softened it with OMS. I highlighted with red and clear Stickles. I also added SU Real Red cardstock to the kit.

All In a Day's Work

I don't know about you, but some days it's all I can do to keep up with all that's going on at home! Between my 2 kids, and my husband (who works from home), the cleaning and everything never ends! But I am trying to find joy in the little things, and there is plenty of that to go around! Today was a good day, and I was able to get all the dishes done, the living room and bathroom picked up, both kids are sound asleep, and I even made some crafty time too!

Here is one of the products of my creativity. I'll share the other one with you tomorrow.

I used elements from a card kit from a swap on SCS, but I added SU cardstock in Brilliant Blue, Garden Green and Bashful Blue. And Stickles on her hair bows. Gotta have a little sparkle. The image is colored with Copics and sentiment is PTI.

I followed the sketch form Papertake this week too.

A Simple Christmas Layout

Hello! I thought I'd share this simple Christmas layout I put together for my son's 3rd year album. He's such a good little helper! I used materials from a scrapbook kit I received in a swap, but I added the letters from my Cricut using the Lyrical letters cartridge, and the stars I drew with a white opaque pen.

Farm Fresh Fun

Boy, has it been a long week. We had a death in the family among other things, and I'm glad to be returning to normal again.

This paper reminds me of a farm stand. I love it! I'm not sure who it's by, I used materials from another card kit I received from a swap, but it's a beautiful kit:)

I'm still working on my sewing too, but I thought it fit. The image is colored in with Copics.

I used the sketch from the Critter Sketch challenge blog this week - you also needed to use 2 ribbons as well.

You're Sweet

Good evening! I've been trying to go through some of my card kits I have from swaps and use them. I color images in while hanging with my hubby in the evenings, and then when I have a few minutes I can just put the card together.

This is one of those cards. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. This is the first time I have ever tried sewing on a card. I will definitely do it again, though!

I used the sketch from Papertake this week, and I also am entering this card in Crazy for Challenges (an inspiration picture).

Image is colored in with Copics and the heart is accented with burgundy Stickles. I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Bubbles!

Hi! I'm back again. I took my outside to play earlier while my daughter was napping, and after 20 minutes he said, "Mom, can we go in? It's too hot out here!" Really? I was rather enjoying the sun, but oh well. So we headed in and came down to the play/craft room and I put this card together:)

I love these dragons by Lisa Victoria. Jenny has them in the Paper Jewels store. They are lots of fun to color. I wish you could see better in this picture, but there are lots of clear sparkly Stickles on the bubbles and the cloud.

I used the sketch from The Pink Elephant this week.

Paper is all SU. Image is Sweet Pea colored in with Copics and highlighted with Stickles. I used Nestabilities to cut out the circles and a Cuttlebug embossing folder (swirls) on the background. DP is a scrap from my stash. I used a sentiment from PTI stamped with silver pigment ink on the ribbon, and the corner punch I think was Fiskars.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
