Baby Basket

Hi! I was waiting to share this basket with you until I gave to it to intended couple..just in case:) Now I can share it! I LOVE this basket - it is so cute and easy to make. I believe I made one before too for a birthday, but this one is larger - I used a 12x12 sheet of cardstock. I saw the original one on AnnMarie's blog - she has the instructions on there too.

I didn't show you the picture of the fourth side - I stamped "celebrate" and wrote below instead of making a separate card. I also filled it with chocolates.

Images are from Raisin Boat, accented with Stickles and colored in with Prismacolor pencils. Cardstock is SU Sage Shadow, and I can't remember which blue for sure, but I think it was Brocade Blue. Sentiments are PTI.

Cupcakes again!

Good evening! Is it really Wednesday again? I can't believe that August is almost over and the kid(s) are almost back in school! We don't start until September 7, so there's a little bit of time left. I love my sweet boy dearly, but I am ready for him to start back!

I did find some crafty time today, so I wanted to share this card with you that I put together using one of my own card kits I made for a swap on SCS. I decided it needed to be an easel card, and I LOVE this color combo:)

Supplies are CC Designs stamp from Paper Jewels - Cupcake Kiki colored in with Copic markers and highlighted with clear Stickles. DP is Doodlebug. Cardstock is SU Certainly Celery and Rose Red. Brown is DCWV punched with a scalloped punch. Border punch is SU. Buttons are PTI, flower and ribbon are misc from my stash (i.e. not sure where they are from and I am too lazy to go check at the moment:)).

Sizzling Summer

Hello again! The wonderful group of bloggy crafty girls I belong to are having a monthly challenge, and this is our first round. The theme is Sizzling Summer. Basically, the hostess for the month sends the girls on her team a card kit with the elements to put together a card, and everyone will make a card and share it with the group. April put this neat kit together (isn't the glittery paper the best?) I hope I did the image justice - it's a little out of my comfort zone, but really neat. Jenny has these Sweet Pea stamps for sale in the Paper Jewels store (sorry, had to plug - she has a great store!)

I used this week's sketch from Card Patterns for this card.

I colored her in with Prismacolor pencils and softened it with OMS. I highlighted with red and clear Stickles. I also added SU Real Red cardstock to the kit.

All In a Day's Work

I don't know about you, but some days it's all I can do to keep up with all that's going on at home! Between my 2 kids, and my husband (who works from home), the cleaning and everything never ends! But I am trying to find joy in the little things, and there is plenty of that to go around! Today was a good day, and I was able to get all the dishes done, the living room and bathroom picked up, both kids are sound asleep, and I even made some crafty time too!

Here is one of the products of my creativity. I'll share the other one with you tomorrow.

I used elements from a card kit from a swap on SCS, but I added SU cardstock in Brilliant Blue, Garden Green and Bashful Blue. And Stickles on her hair bows. Gotta have a little sparkle. The image is colored with Copics and sentiment is PTI.

I followed the sketch form Papertake this week too.

A Simple Christmas Layout

Hello! I thought I'd share this simple Christmas layout I put together for my son's 3rd year album. He's such a good little helper! I used materials from a scrapbook kit I received in a swap, but I added the letters from my Cricut using the Lyrical letters cartridge, and the stars I drew with a white opaque pen.

Farm Fresh Fun

Boy, has it been a long week. We had a death in the family among other things, and I'm glad to be returning to normal again.

This paper reminds me of a farm stand. I love it! I'm not sure who it's by, I used materials from another card kit I received from a swap, but it's a beautiful kit:)

I'm still working on my sewing too, but I thought it fit. The image is colored in with Copics.

I used the sketch from the Critter Sketch challenge blog this week - you also needed to use 2 ribbons as well.
