Critter Monday - Sketch and Buttons

Good morning!  It's Monday (again).  That keeps happening somehow!  That's ok - no school for us.  The boy is on spring break.  So we get to sleep in and hopefully get to do a few fun things as well.

First things first, it's Monday, so that means another challenge over at Critter Sketch Challenges!  It's a great sketch by our own April, and the twist is to also use buttons.  Be sure to play along if you can - this is the last chance to enter to win some freebies from Softpencil, and there are some really cute images as well as other cute stuff in her shop.

Do you like this little monkey?  He's from TSB's Pocket Patooties line.  I thought he would be perfect for my counsin's 2 year birthday.

Sorry to go MIA here - it's been a long, tiring week.  And it's only Wednesday!  Baby girl had tubes put in her ears today, and thankfully it went really well and seemed fairly painless.

I did get to finish this page I had been working on for the Stamp with Fun challenge - SPRING!  (TSB is sponsoring this week's challenge.)  We did have a couple of really nice spring days too this week, and that was wonderful.  Unfortunately we have a high of 32 tomorrow, so I'll have to remember the warm while we're freezing again:)

I used this pretty spring image from The Stamping Boutique for this layout - using digis is something pretty new to me with my scrapbooking, but I think it's definitely a nice addition!

Pretty Daisies

Good morning!  The Stamping Boutique hosted a digi day on Saturday.  It was lots of fun, chatting, and challenges.  One of the challenges was a sketch challenge, and this is the card I made from the sketch (thanks for the great sketch, April!)

I have to say I am partial to daisies.  I had a beautiful bouquet for my wedding flowers of white roses, white daisies and wildflowers.  This image just makes me happy.

Supplies are:

Cardstock - SU Barely Banana, Rose Romance, and Pretty in Pink
Martha Stewart photo corner punch
PTI felt and flower die
Spica clear glitter pen

Critter Monday - Shades of Green

Good morning!  It's Monday (again) and you know what that means - it's a Critter kind of day!  Ok, sorry, that was a little silly:)  I'm a little tired.

The theme this week is monochromatic - green to be exact.  Ok, you can use some white too...I have to say, I love all things Irish.  My great-great grandparents on my dad's side came over from Ireland, and my grandpa had a love for all things Irish too.  A couple of years before he passed away he did get to visit there, and I loved hearing his stories from over there when he would share them with us.  Someday I would love to visit there.

Our sponsor this month is Softpencil.  There are so many adorable images in her store!

So here is my card for the challenge.  I used The Stamping Boutique's Irish Audrey - isn't she cute?

Good evening!  I have another boy card to share with you - I'm still working on building up my birthday card stash because I seem to go through those cards like water some months (hey, it's a big family, lol!)  Here is a boy card I put together using a card kit from a swap (thanks, Melanie - love it!)

This image is so adorable, and I couldn't wait to start coloring him!  (That paper is really too neat as well!)  I added SU Crystal Effects to his sign, so it's nice and shiny.  Everything except the card base was from a swap (SU Bashful Blue) and I colored him in with my favorite - Copics.

Cupcakes and Presents Galore!

Good evening!  I was able to get some pretty good crafty time in yesterday with a friend, and this is one of the products of my time.  It was great - kids even played well so we could craft!

In going through my card kit stash, I found this little guy and couldn't wait to color him!  I think he's just adorable, and I adore this cupcake paper too.  Keeping the layout pretty simple, this will work well for a birthday boy card.

Most of the supplies are from a kit, so I'm not sure who they are by, but I did add SU cardstock in Green Galore and Brilliant Blue.  The image is colored with Copics.  Other supplies are Star Dust Stickles, Cuttlebug embossing folder, circle and oval nesties.
